Miss US Italia offers a remarkable experience for all participants. It’s not just about the fun and thrill of the event itself; it's also a chance for personal growth and development. You'll learn more about yourself while enhancing your communication skills, leadership abilities, interview techniques, and overall poise! Pageantry serves as a gateway for those eager to take the stage, raise awareness for a cause, give back to the community, and, of course, discover more about themselves.
No prior experience is necessary to compete at Miss US Italia Pageant, meaning you can enter even if you have never participated in one before. There are no height or weight requirements. We welcome newcomers and judge contestants based on their performance at the competition, not their past experience. We seek a well-rounded, confident individuals who will represent Miss US Italia and Italian Americans in a positive light. The amount of time you spend making appearances varies depending on your location and availability. Your education and family are a priority, so we work with your schedule. Appearances may include parades, speaking engagements, and working with various organizations throughout the state.
Contestants will compete in six distinct age categories, with six winners being crowned. Applicant must be a naturally born female in order to compete, must reside within the United States and compete in the correct division for their age group:

Participants may represent the pageant in their respective states. Applicants must have Italian American heritage through birth or ancestry. You don’t need to be born in Italy, but you should have at least 25% Italian lineage through your parents or grandparents.

The event welcomes female individuals who are either born Italian American U.S. citizens or of Italian descent. This includes those born in the U.S. to Italian parents or grandparents, as well as individuals born in Italy who later moved to the U.S. Contestants must have either full or partial Italian ancestry and be prepared to provide family lineage details if required.
Participants must be aged 6 and above and will compete in their respective age division as of the event date. There are no specific height or weight requirements. Judges will assess contestants based on their stage presence, grace, physical well-being, and personality.

CONTESTES ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT COPY THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE WITH APPLICATION IN ORDER TO VERIFY WHICH AGE DIVISION THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN.
No, this is the only event you will participate in for Miss US Italia. There are no preliminary events or state competitions at this time.
There is a registration fee required for each contestant, regardless of age.
Attire for practice on stage is casual and comfortable. When it comes to formal wear, it's all about personal style, which can range from simple to elegant or elaborate. For younger participants, short or long dress is suitable, while contestants 16 and up are encouraged to opt for floor-length gowns.
You will need to upload a photo of yourself for the Application Process. This can be a selfie or another casual picture or a professional photo to accompany your application.
Official program photo should be a front facing headshot of contestant in color with good print quality. Both professional and non-professional headshots are acceptable for the program book. A light backgound is preferred but not required. Photos must be jpeg or png format. PDF NOT ACCEPTED
You will participate in three categories: Formal Wear, Interview and Photogenic.
The Miss US Italia pageant considers beauty as one aspect, but the primary focus lies in discovering the inner qualities and personality of the contestants.
For on stage categories, judges will assess how your personality shines through, your stage presence, and how you present yourself in front of an audience. Enjoy the experience.
Contestants do not need to purchase a ticket for this event. Children under 7 years of age are FREE. Event tickets will go on sale at 6 months prior to event date.
While we would love to provide space for each of you to have your own hair and makeup professionals, it is not be possible for this event. There will be skilled makeup artists and hairstylists available for hire to help you look your best. Contestants will receive detailed information before the event. Spots will be secured on a first come first serve basis. If you are staying in the hotel, you may get ready in your room as long as you in place prior to contestant lineup.
During the event, only Official Staff members are permitted in the dressing room or backstage area at all times. Parents, family members, and others will not have access to dressing room or backstage for contestants aged 15 and above. Only females allowed in dressing room. Contestants will prepare for the pageant and remain in their formal wear throughout; therefore, there will be no wardrobe changes. The dressing room will be off-limits to everyone, including contestants once the competition commences and will remain closed until the event concludes.
Our titleholders actively engage in charitable endeavors, serving as exemplary role models for young girls. They contribute to various charitable causes such as volunteering at animal shelters, organizing clothing drives for organizations, distributing essentials to the homeless, and participating in diverse community service initiatives. Miss US Italia titleholders of all ages transcend the glamorous facade showcased on stage, embodying multifaceted identities that stand as a true testament to Italian Americans.
As one of the six Miss US Italia titleholders, you have certain responsibilities. While you'll arrange your own appearances, you need written permission from Miss US Italia organizers. Group events for all titleholders may be organized, near and around the Host City. We understand the importance of school and family and will make every effort to plan group events for titleholders around those priorities taking into consideration travel and availablility of each titleholder on a case by case basis.
