Celebrating Italian American Beauty and Culture

We are accepting applications NOW for the 2025 competition! 

There is no experience necessary and you will have an amazing time! 


Contestants will compete in six different age groups.

Divisions are as follows: girls 6-11, 12-15, 16-18, 19-26, 27-39, 40 and up -  regardless of marital status.

(All age categories are limited. To be guaranteed a spot it is our suggestion to register early)

 

We are seeking girls and women who take pride in their Italian American heritage and wish to represent the Miss US Italia Pageant in their respective states. Eligible applicants include females aged 6 and older, regardless of marital status, who possess Italian American heritage through birth or ancestry (including parents, grandparents, etc.).


During the competition, six individual age division winners will be selected. Each titleholder will receive a beautiful crown, banner, and an exciting prize package. The six division winners are expected to participate in at least six charity events and/or appearances in their home state throughout their year-long reign. Activities may include organizing clothing drives, participating in fundraising walks, attending parades, or engaging in elementary school reading programs. The primary aim is to raise awareness for worthy organizations of their choice.


  • Formal wear segment, places emphasis on stage presence, confidence, elegance, poise, overall appearance, fashion sense, and style. 
  • Interviews take place on stage and are reflective of application questions you submit when you register. Expect inquiries about your Italian-American family traditions, family history, Italian heritage, education, hobbies, occupation, community involvement, goals, likes, and dislikes. 
  • Two Photogenic Awards will be presented. One is determined by Judges and Pageant Organizers, based on program book photo. The second award is decided by Viewer's Choice and will be conducted online between January 1, 2025 and February 12, 2025. Participants are allowed to submit up to three potos for Viewer's Choice. 
  • In the spirit of charity, Miss US Italia will also present the Isabella Corcelli Community Involvement Award. This award honors Isabella Corcelli, one of the earliest Miss RI State Titleholders, who tragically lost her fight against cancer in February 2016 at the age of 21. It will be awarded to an outgoing titleholder who has shown a dedicated commitment to volunteering and supporting charities during their reign. The recipient will receive a cash prize of $250. 


Winners in each of the six age divisions receive a beautiful crown and banner, $100 cash prize, glamorous and fun photoshoots, gift certificates, and goodies from sponsors and local businesses. But wait, there's more!  Titleholders have the opportunity to attend special events and fundraisers, mingle at VIP bashes and parades and work amazing charities - all of which can be done in their own home state.

The event welcomes female individuals who are either born Italian American U.S. citizens or of Italian descent. This includes those born in the U.S. to Italian parents or grandparents, as well as individuals born in Italy who later moved to the U.S. Contestants must have either full or partial Italian ancestry and be prepared to provide family lineage details if required.


Participants must be aged 6 and above and will compete in their respective age division as of the event date. There are no specific height or weight requirements. Judges will assess contestants based on their stage presence, grace, physical well-being, and personality.

CONTESTES ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A COPY THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE  WITH APPLICATION IN ORDER TO VERIFY WHICH AGE DIVISION THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN


Contestants in age categories 6-11 and 12-15 may have one female adult with them backstage to assist in dressing before they go on stage however, once contestants are on stage, dressing room will be closed to everyone until the pageant is over. 

 No, this is the only event you will participate in for Miss US Italia. There are no preliminary events or state competitions at this time.

There is a $150 registration fee required for each contestant, regardless of age. Discount of $25 for THE FIRST 12 contestants registered prior to November 30, 2024

Attire for practice on stage is casual and comfortable. When it comes to formal wear, it's all about personal style, which can range from simple to elegant or elaborate. For younger participants, short or long dress is suitable, while contestants 16 and up are encouraged to opt for floor-length gowns.

You will need to upload a photo of yourself for the Application Process. This can be a selfie or another casual picture or a professional photo to accompany your application. Photos for the official Program will be due no later than January 10, 2025. Official program photo should be a front facing headshot of contestant in color with good print quality. Both professional and non-professional headshots are acceptable for the program book as long as they are of good quality. 


Two awards will be presented for the Photogenic Competition. 

One award is determined by Judges and Pageant Organizers, based on the Official Program Book Photo.  The other award is through Viewers Choice Competition conducted online prior to event. You may upload up to three photos for Viewer's Choice. 


ALL Photos must be jpeg or png format.

You will participate in three categories: Formal Wear,  Interview and Photogenic.

The Miss US Italia pageant considers beauty as one aspect, but the primary focus lies in discovering the inner qualities and personality of the contestants. 


For on stage categories, judges will assess how your personality shines through, your stage presence, and how you present yourself in front of an audience. Enjoy the experience.


  • In the formal wear segment, the focus will be on stage presence, confidence, elegance, poise, overall appearance, fashion sense, and style. 
  • Although pageant applications will be reviewed in advance by the judges, the Interview portion will take place on stage. Each contestant will be asked questions relative to questions submitted with their event registration such as; regarding their Italian-American family traditions, family history, Italian heritage, education, hobbies, occupation, community involvement, charitable organizations you may work with currently or would like to work with, likes, and dislikes. 
  • Two awards Presented for Photogenic. One award will be determined by Judges and Pageant Organizers, based on the photo selected for the Official Program Book. The second Photogenic Award will be decided through the Viewers' Choice Photogenic Competition, conducted online before the event. Participants have the option to submit up to three photos for Viewer's Choice.

 Miss US ITALIA Pageant tickets will go on sale on November 10, 2024. Secure excellent seats by buying your admission tickets early. Choose between General Admission $25 and VIP Tickets $45, (VIP seating in first two rows). Limited seating is available and is expected to sell out. Contestents do not need to purchase a ticket for this event. Children under 8 years of age are FREE.

While we would love to provide space for each of you to have your own hair and makeup professionals, however, it is not be possible for this event. There  will be skilled makeup artists and hairstylists available for hire at the event to help you look your best. Contestants will receive detailed information before the event, and it is essential to book services in advance to ensure a smooth schedule. If you are staying in the hotel, you may get ready in your room as long as you in place prior to contestant lineup.

During the event, only Official Staff members are permitted in the dressing room or backstage area at all times. Parents, family members, and others will not have access to dressing room or backstage for contestants aged 16 and above. Only females will be allowed in dressing room. Contestants will prepare for the pageant and remain in their formal wear throughout; therefore, there will be no wardrobe changes. The dressing room will be off-limits to everyone, including contestants once the competition commences and will remain closed until the event concludes.

Our titleholders actively engage in charitable endeavors, serving as exemplary role models for young girls. They contribute to various charitable causes such as volunteering at animal shelters, organizing clothing drives for organizations, distributing essentials to the homeless, and participating in diverse community service initiatives. Miss US Italia titleholders of all ages transcend the glamorous facade showcased on stage, embodying multifaceted identities that stand as a true testament to Italian Americans.


As one of the six Miss US Italia titleholders, you have certain responsibilities. While you'll arrange your own appearances, you need written permission from Miss US Italia organizers. A list of suggested events will be provided, and you can choose which ones you may want to participate in.  


Group events for all titleholders may be organized, near and around the Host City.  We understand the importance of school and family and will make every effort to plan group events for titleholders around those priorities taking into consideration travel and availablility of each titleholder on a case by case basis.

Limited Space Available for National Miss US Italia Program

  1.  ​Businesses are welcome to purchase an ad to promote their business. The book will be available at the National Pageant held in Rhode Island and a pdf version will be available on our website post pageant. 
  2. Families and friends may ​also use an ad as a way to wish a contestant luck in the upcoming competition.   It's always a good idea to be in front of the judges as many times as you can.

  1. ENTRY FEE: There are no refunds for entry fees nor any subsequent fees paid. If the contestant drops out of the pageant, no refunds will be given.
